In
1933, Gerardo Ramón, who had recently arrived
from Barcelona, Spain, initiated his activities in Argentina.
At the beginning, only basic pharmaceuticals were manufactured.
The increase of internal demand as well as the founder's
commitment to providing excellent services made it mandatory
to expand the manufacturing facilities.
After a decade, the company had already gained a solid
presence in the national market.
In the '50s, GRAMON was
a pioneer in the Argentine pharmaceutical and chemical
industry by producing several pharmaceutical raw materials
in its factory located in Munro, Province of Buenos
Aires.
Until
1997, the company participated in the prescriptions
market achieving leading positions. As of March 1997,
GRAMON is concentrating its strategy in the OTC market.
Presently, the third and fourth generation of the family
are conducting the organization that has devoted all
of its efforts to this industry for more than 70 years.
